Show Dress purchase Dear Editor: I received a package in the mail with the enclosed letter. I am so impressed with the thoughtfulness of this lady I want to share it with your readers. GLENDA SMARR Hi there! I have a rather unusual story to tell you which I hope you can understand. About two weeks ago, I came into your shop and saw the dress which you see here. I tried it on and could not find the price tag. The girl in the shop couldn't find the price either and so she said I could have it for $5.00. I took the dress off and she packaged it up and I left after paying $5.25. While walking down the street to the hotel, I took the dress out and looking through it I found the tag on the neck and as I can best read it, it looked like the lowest price was $18.00. 1 didn't have the time to run back and check because my group was ready to leave. The situation has bothered me ever since I arrived home and I haven't known how to handle it. I thought perhaps I' should send a check, but didn't know if that was right. I don't feel that I really want to pay $18.00 for the dress even though it has been marked down tremendously. I finally decided that I would send the dress back to you. I hope I haven't inconvenienced in-convenienced you, but I thought this was the best solution for me. If you have any questions, please let me know. MARY BILLETER SLC, UT 84109. Editor's Note: Mrs. Smarr sent the dress back to Mary Billeter as a gift. |
