Show CROP PROSPECTS The crops of all European countries are reported in a very unsatisfactory condition. This, with complications existing in Egypt, leads us to believe that with our unusually good prospects, we shall disappoint those who were warning that "hard times" were coming to us again ere long. The bountiful harvest with which the country is now blest, has already caused crop speculators to loosen their grip on surplus bread stuff, and a corresponding increase has taken place in shipments. There will no doubt be a lively demand for all of the country's grain, during the ensuing year. |
