Show ACCIDENT AT BEAVER CANYON. A correspondent of Beaver Canyon sends me the following: Mr. P. Tempest, sawyer for Van Noy & Co. Star Mill, had his hand badly cut on Oct. 2nd, while fixing the guide pin of his saw. The wrench slipped off the pin and threw his hand into the saw, tearing the flesh off his hand from the lower part across to the middle joint of the fore finger, leaving two of the joints bare. It seems to be a severe flesh wound. He will be unable to work the remainder of the season. He has gone to his home and family in Kansas. It begins to look somewhat wintry here now. The snow has spread its white mantle over the broad, dense, wooded country. |
