Show ACQUITTED. At three o'clock yesterday afternoon, the trial of M. G. alias "Tom" Connor for selling liquor was resumed. C. C. Anderson, of Hyrum, and James Johnson, of Richmond, were the witnesses for the prosecution. The first testified that he helped himself to some blackberry brandy, was not waited on by any one, and paid no one for the drinks taken by himself and Johnson. The latter could remember getting the liquor, but had forgotten who waited on him. On such evidence an acquittal was inevitable. |
