Show TESTED. An experiment has been made and specimens of our pig iron have been tested as to its fitness for manufacturing purposes. A quantity of it has been remelted and found to be equal to any made elsewhere for casting car wheels, chill plows, stoves, or any other articles of cast iron. This morning, S. ?. H. Clark, general manager U.P.R.R., took some specimens east to exhibit at Park City, Omaha, and places other. Mr. J. R. Walker took some to Salt Lake City, and other gentlemen destined to different poitns [points] obtained pieces and took them with them to show to their friends. -- Ogden Herald. |
