Justice Ollie Weston Justice, 86, La died punt, Aug. 22. 1981 in a Roosevelt nursing home. He was born Aug. 23, 1894 in Weber, Lawrence Co., Kentucky, to John R. and Jane Mary Cordel Justice. 0. Justice He married Ella Marking May 9, 1918 in VernaL She died March 21, 1969. He was a veteran of World War L where he served in the U.S. Army. He had been a rancher and a eoal miner. Survivors include sons and daughters, John Robert Justice, Roosevelt; Harrison Weston Justice, Mrs. Chester A. (Martha Fay) Wells, Mrs. Eugene (Ollie Rae) Phifer, Mrs. Larry (Frances Ella) Grasaaint, all Salt Lake; Roscoe Hyrum Justice, Mountain Home; Mrs. Richard (Eva Doris) Bilks, Springfield, I1L; Mrs. Lawrence (Mary Ella) Schubert, Henley, Mo.; Mrs. Erao (Lydia Carol) Marchett, Streat-or- , I1L He is also survived by 43 grandchildren, 62 one and a sister, Bertha J. Francis. Funeral services will be Thursday (today), Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Lapoint LDS Church where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Lapoint Cemetery. John Merkley, 81, passed away Aug. 19, 1981 after a short illness. He was born June 22, 1900, in Vernal to Christopher Ellis and ElizaAldura beth Hatch Merkley He married W. J. Merkley Faye Elizabeth Abbott in Duchesne, She died. He married Violet McDonald in 1959. LDS mission in They filled a two-yea- r Cookeville, Tenn. He had served in two different bishoprics. He and his wife were temple workers in the St George and Provo Temples. He was a pioneer, a rancher and a dairyman all his life. He was president of the Rocky Point Ditch Company for 14 years. He is survived by children, Kirk Merkley, Salt Lake; Philip W. Merkley, Layton; Mrs. Lloyd (Morns) Grant Mrs. Bob (Donna) Odekirk, Kearns; Hal D. Merkley, Idaho Falls, Ida.; Steven Kipp Merkley, Duchesne; Mrs. Lyle (Jean) Wilcox, Grand Junction, Cola; Mrs. Larry (Luane) Larsen, Vernal; Mrs. Peter (Cindy) Nybert St George; 57 grand-childre- n and 53 He is also survived by brothers and sister, Jerry Merkley, Duchesne; Leroy Merkley, Pasco, Wash.; Mrs. Gladys Mecham, Salt Lake. He was proceeded in death by brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Thomas, Adeline Ethel Lance, Christopher Davis, Merkley, Hugh Merkley. Funeral services were held at the Duchesne Stake Chapel, Aug. 24, with interment in the Duchesne City Cemetery. in Duchesne County throughout the entire year otherwise unless designated.
