Show mrs annie H green is spending the week with her son and daugh ter mr and mrs C H green in salt lake city mrs eddie green is still in wen dover and seems to be enjoying her stay very much margarey thelma and claude sutton jr are going to attend the BYU again this winter they left for provo the latter part of last week MIA got off to a good start in the grantsville Grants ville wards with an op ening social in the amusement hall both wards combined forces to make this evening possible I 1 elsie green i last tuesday the work of mut ual began in earnest each ward met separately and began its class work the first ward is meeting in its new chapel which is rapidly nearing completion A new floor has been laid in the chapel and some of the class rooms are being prepared for the plasterer it should be a very nice chapel when it is finally completed on sunday october 12 the grantsville Grants ville first ward will hold its annual ward conference bish op E R sterling halladay informed the members that the bishopric would be reorganized at that time now the speculation begins who will the bishop and his counselors counce lors bea there will be no sunday school in the first ward this coming sun day due to general conference being held in salt lake city sally severe is back at school after her recent appendicitis op aeration thelma naylor and her young son were in town for a day or two at the end of last week her son and daughter dick and frances are going to school here keith green and calvin sandberg have some basement rooms in provo they are planning to keep house this winter and go to school at the BYU bill ray jefferies Jef fenes randall may don ed sandberg farrell butler verlayne sample and jack and erson are among the many seen at the U of U farrell anderson and bert law rence are headed back for the BYU this fall 1 I wish that someone would give me the names of all the college bound people that I 1 have missed so that I 1 could let every one know about it how about some help the MIA birthday ball was held friday september 26 in the opera house the music was furnished by I 1 D birds there was a large crowd present and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves well lou bae rae congratulations we were glad to hear that you had tied with miss lawrence as the county girl to enter in the contest for miss semper fidelis good luck and we hope that you win on saturday september 27 2 the 4 11 leaders met at the home of mildred eng england land in tooele thoele this was a farewell party for mrs velyn B stevens home demonstration agent myrtis smith donna hale and elsie green were in attend ance |
