Show Two in a Row for Viking Soccer by Dan Williams After a close 1-0 loss to 4A Mountain View, the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove men's soccer team has reeled off two straight road wins bver region foes Hillcrest and Jordan. The victories place the Vikings in a good spot to qualify for the state 5A playoffs in Region 4. The Vikings have been in a tight race with Hillcrest for a playoff spot. Senior Winston Sorhaitz and sophomore Ryan Fonseca scored in the first half to give the Vikings a 2-0 half-time half-time lead. In the second half senior defender Braxton Atter-ton Atter-ton scored followed by a second goal from Sorhaitz on an indi rect kick from the six yard box after the Hillcrest keeper picked up a ball passed back to him by a defender. With a 4-0 lead, the team relaxed a bit and allowed two late Hillcrest goals making the final score 4-2. Against Jordan, Sorhaitz scored in the first half off a direct di-rect free kick just outside the box from the right side. Shortly Short-ly into the second half, Jordan tied the score, but the Vikings responded on another Sorhaitz free kick this one an indirect kick that went off the Jordan keepers gloves for a goal and the 2-1 victory.
