Show Services Held Saturday for Alice Holman Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 23. at the Assembly of God Church in Dove Creek, Colo., for Alice Florence Holman. who died on Feb. 25 in Moab at the home cf a daughter. Mrs. Holman was born August 25. 1S95, in the Chi-ckasha Chi-ckasha Nation which later became the State of Oklahoma. Okla-homa. She was united in marriage to Jewette Elwood Holman on Nov. 5, 19:9. Ill preceded her in death, having hav-ing died on Nov. 11. I960. Th couple lived for many years in San Miguel and Dolores Counties in Colorado, Colora-do, having come to that area in the early 1920's. She was converted at a young age and later became a member mem-ber of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted by Rev. Henry Russell of the Assembly of God Church of Moab and he was assisted by Rev. Parker of Dove Creek. The First Southern Sou-thern Baptist Church Choir sang two musical numbers. Participating in the choir presentation at the funeral were: Rev. and Mrs. Rob-erf Rob-erf Mills, Nina Farr, Ha Randolph, Ann Weise, and Kurtis Reedy. They were accompanied ac-companied by Edna Coker. Serving as pall bearers were grandsons, Lloyd, Roy, and Tim Rockwell, and Donald Don-ald Holman, Charles Holman Hol-man and Edward Thompson. Interment was in the Dove Creek Cemetery under the direction of th Grand Valley Mortuary. (Surviving Mrs. Holman are three children: Granville Gran-ville S. Holman, Pueblc, Colo.; Lillie Hough, Toppen-ish, Toppen-ish, Wash.: and Estol Rockwell Rock-well of Moab. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters: Marion Conn, Norwood, Colo.; Homer Hom-er Conn, Dove Creek; Myra Thompson, Dove Creek; and Naomi Lamb, Monette,' Me. ' There are 18 grandchildren and. 35 great grandchildren Who survive as well. |
