Show Page Four THE STATE OFFICERS VISIT PYTHIAN SISTERS Carbon temple No. 19, of the Pythian sisters, opened for a grand visitation of the Utah officers on Wednesday, May 7. Following the opening ceremony, a school of instruction was held by Mary Ma-ce- y, grand chief of Utah, Pearl Maham, grand junior, and Maxine Judd, grand protector. Pythian sisters from Park City, Dragerton, Garfield and HelpeT, joined the Price chapter to make the visitation a huge success. In the auditorium dining room where a dessert luncheon was served the tables were lovely with decorations of spring flowers. Mrs. Macey was presented with a gift from the Carbon temple. Raffle winners were Clara Anderson and Mary Macey. Five girls from Carbon high 6ohool will have the opportunity of attending Girls State this year. This is the largest group ever sent from Price and will be the second largest to attend in the state it is announced by Mrs. Harris Simons en, Girls State chairman. The delegates receiving the honor were announced by Mrs. Simonson at the award assembly held Firiday at Carbon college. Mrs. Awtone Dupin, president of the American Legion Auxiliary, assisted with the awards presentations. Her interests center around music, dancing and speech. When being interviewed, Joan Snow expressed a desire to folio the talent show held this winter.
