Show Rotary Members Of SH. Note 10th Anniversary Ten years of Rotary history in Sugar House were reviewed Thursday when the club noted its tenth anniversary at the regular reg-ular luncheon at Weasku Inn. Visiting officials from the Salt Lake club and charter members were special guests of the occasion. oc-casion. The club received its charter May G. 193fi. and many I unit, and during his many years as superintendent of the Sugar House post office, he was prominently prom-inently identified with affairs in this section. Mr. Leaver cited 100 per cent membership records of four of the club's members, Mr. Thatcher, Thatch-er, Al Hibbai'd, Sam J. Nicholas, I club secretary, and Holgar M. Larsen. I of those present on that occasion were on hand yesterday to recall re-call the event. j AT. O. Ashton, first president 'of the Sugar House group, spoke i briefly as did Wililam J. Lowe 'who was president of the Salt Lake club at the time the charter was granted. President Sam Leaver conducted the meeting j introduced the guests, and cited some of the milestones in the 'club's history. He also presented present-ed the club's gift of a large palm jto the Salt Lake club, and the acceptance was made by Dr. John T. Walhquist, president of the downtown club. I Dee Thatcher, a charter member mem-ber and past president of the Sugar House unit, spoke on the ideals end purposes of Rotary, and Dr. L. L. Richards, presi- j dent-elect, was introduced.
