There will be various activities ranging from getting messy playing play-ing mud volleyball to the annual burning of the "S." Everyday there will be a different dress-up theme , that students can take part in. Who gets ready for school? Come to school in your pajamas on Monday! Mon-day! Need to go shopping this weekend? Will Shaw and Chase Tedrow SHS STAFF WRITERS The Springville High Booster Breakfast has arrived. The SHS Booster Breakfast is a fund-raiser that is being hosted for the Springville Football Team. It will take place at Springville High School on Saturday, Sept. 15, in the open patio. It starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. Admission is $5 per person. Madelyn Tucker and Jennifer Parks SHS STAFF WRITERS SHS Homecoming is just around the corner! On Thursday, Sept. 20, SHS clubs and teams will be participating in the annual homecoming parade. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Stake Center on the Corner of 400 E. and 900 South. The route will run along 900 South towards Springville High School, ending at the Arts Park. After the parade, events will continue at the school with a pep rally at 7:45 p.m., followed by the traditional tradi-tional "Burning of the S" at 8 p.m. All events are free and for the community! SHS warmly invites everyone ev-eryone to come show their support and Red Devil pride! SHS ACT Prep Class Jennifer Parks and Madelyn Tucker Jw... J SHS STAFF WRITERS -v. 1 " SHS'studehts the October Octo-ber 27th ACT is coming up quickly! The deadline for registering is September 21st, and the cost is $30 for the ACT or $44.50 for the ACT plus the optional writing writ-ing portion. The late registration regis-tration deadline is October 5th and there is an additional addi-tional fee of $19. To find out more about the test and testing dates, visit HYPERLINK "http: www.actstudent.org" www.actstudent.org or talk to your counselor at SHS. Students who want to take the ACT in October may wish to prepare for the test by attending the SHS ACT Prep Class. The class will be taught on two different Saturday mornings morn-ings by Mrs. Krieger-James Krieger-James and Mr. Frossard. During the two sessions, each of the four parts of the test will be covered in a two-hour block. Test tak- ing strategies ana impor tant information will also be discussed. Those taking the optional writing portion of the ACT may stay one additional hour with Mrs. Krieger-James Krieger-James for work on that section. Each student will also check out an ACT workbook to use at home, which should be returned to Mrs. Krieger-James after af-ter the test to avoid a fine. Students should bring a calculator to the first session ses-sion for the Mathematics portion. SHS ACT Prep Class dates for the October 27th ACT Test are September 15 and September 22 from 8 a.m. to noon.
