A nominating committee commit-tee to select candidates for the coming election was appointed including in-cluding Mrs. Ella Miner, Mrs. Annie An-nie L. Wheeler, Mrs. Jennie Start and Mrs. Hnnnnh Alleman. Thurs-! day evening in honor of Mrs. Hat-Mo Hat-Mo Blacked who has resigned the office of president to resume her work on the Primary stake board. (- Mrs. Blackett has worked in the Primary organization for sixteeen years. A program of games and music were carried out followed by lunch. Brown entertained at a dinner at their home Thursday Complimentary to Miss Vera I Packard, who is visiting here from San Francisco, Calif., a number of girl friends entertained at a party. Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Wealtha S. Mendenhall. A pleasant evening was spent playing progressive games and later a tasty lunch was served. Those present were Miss Packard. Mrs. W'ealtha Mendenhall, Mrs. Arthur Payne, Mrs. Merrill Cottfredson, Mrs. Helen Robbins and Miss Florence Daley. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph B. Weight 1 1 entertained , at a party at their home Wednesday evening. A musical mu-sical program and social chat were principal feal ures of t amusement and was followed by delicious refreshments re-freshments served by the hostess to about thirty guests present. . Crawford, Mr. j and Mrs. William Ralston of Pro- ! evening. A valentine color scheme was carried out in tahlc decorations and covers were laid for fifteen ! guests. Mrs. Bert West was hostess to the members of the American Legion Le-gion auxiliary of this city at "her .home Wednesday evening. A decorative dec-orative color scheme suggestive of valentine day was carried out in the luncheon which was served to twenty-two me rubers . and four guests. The outstanding feature on the program was a talk on "The" Cost of Wars," by Hugh Baxter. Other numbers were: vocal solos, Mrs. George Brailsford; piano solo, Miss LaRee West; reading, Kenneth Ken-neth West. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bird and daughters, Marion and Gloria, of Bingham spent two days of the past week visiting in Springville. Daughters of the Pioneers, camp No. 2, were delightfully entertained entertain-ed at the home of Mrs. J. O. Reynolds Reyn-olds Thursday afternoon. The history his-tory of David Wheeler, pioneer of this community, given by his wife, Mrs. Mary Wheeler, was an interesting inter-esting number on the program.
