Show Mr. and Mrs. Blake Palfreymnn, Mr. and Mrs. George Roylance, Miss Lucina Clark and Mrs. Nora Clyde. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Weight entertained en-tertained at a card party Saturday evening. Refreshments were served to Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Manford Hutchinson and Mr. and Mrs. George Craudall. Mrs. Rose B. B oyer of Springville and Mrs. L. C. Totter of Provo, state president of the Service Star Legion, attended the stnte board meeting at the Hotel Utah- Salt Lake City, on Wednesday January 9. Miss Mattie A. Davis has returned to Benver to resume her work teaching teach-ing school after spending the holi-(" holi-(" v:;h her pareuts, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Lavis. Miss Mary Starr who is spending the winter in Salt Lake City, was visiting with relatives in Springville last Tuesday. Floyd Hnrmer entertained a few friends at his home on New Year's eve. The evening was spent at cards after which a midnight supper was served to Miss Rhea Danialls and Miss Fay Schaerrer of Payson and Miss Josephine Dougall, Ralph Packard and Mas Packard. Robert Roth well of Arco, Idaho, is in town visiting with old friends. I SriJIXGVlI.LE SOCIETY. Mr. and Mrs. Yale C. Thorpe of Salt Lake City were the week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. II. Allred. Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Ashcraft had as their guest last week Mrs. Hattie Le Rux of Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clyde entertained enter-tained Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrin -ton and family at a dinner Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James II. Perry of Salt Luke have returned home after a few days visit here with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Xephi Straw entertained enter-tained at a well appointed dinner on New Year's day for Mr. and Mrs. James Penney of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thomas of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Groesbeck. A very enjoyable party was given Saturday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clyde. The first few hours were spent coasting on a hill and later the guests were entertained at cards after w-hich a delightful supper was served to the following : Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weight, Mr. and Mrs. I Wilford Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. j Barron. Mr. and Mrs. Diinick Childs, Mrs. Blanche Condie, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington, Miss Arlene Mendenhall and Ray Robinson.
