Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Norris ltinks, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whiting. Miss LaYeru Hanson who is teach ing school at Bunkervllle, Nevada, has returned after visiting her parents par-ents Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hanson of Mapleton. Miss Lucille Llewelyn is visiting for a month with her sister Mrs. .Eva Huntington of Delta. A reception for Aris Bird, who has recently returned from a mission mis-sion in the Northwestern States, was given by the Mapleton ward in the ward chapel Sunday evening, December 30. The following program was rendered: ren-dered: male quartet, Carol and Howard Watters, Glenn Holley and Leslie Houtz; piano solo, Mary Lelloy ; address of welcome- Elmer .. MAl'LETOX SOCIETY .. Mr. mid Mrs. Afton Matson entertained enter-tained Mr. and Mrs. Glen Holley at dinner Sunday, January 6. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Harmer were Surprised at their home Thursday evening. Refreshments were served to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whiting, Mr. and Mrs Victor Whiting, Mr and Mrs Will Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Lavell Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Binks and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mendenhall. Mrs. M'ui. T. Tew has returned from Lehi where she has been visiting visit-ing for the past ten days with her daughter Mrs. Ileba Allred. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Whiting entertained enter-tained at a New Year party. The rooms were beautifully decorated with1 the holiday colors. Cards, games and an oyster supper were enjoyed by the following: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bird, Mr. and Mrs. John I. Holley.
