Show AN ORDINANCE. An Ordinance Amending Chapter 27 of (lie Revised Ordinances of Springville by Adding Thereto a New Section to lie Known as Section 22!) X. lie it ordained by the City Council Coun-cil of Sprinjxville. I'rah : Suction 1. That Chapter 27 of I the Kevised Ordinances of Spring-' I ville he and the same is hereby ! amended hy adding thereto a new section to he known as Section L"2!iX. as follows : .Section No license as pro vided in Section iis amended by an ordinance passed by the City Council December G, 1920, entitled. "An Ordinance Amending Sections 217, 222, 220 and 219 of Chapter 27 of the Revised Ordinances of Springville." passed December 31. 1919. relating to licenses, shall be granted without the approval of the city council. The city council shall have the power to revoke said license of any licensee whose general gen-eral reputation, either in the conduct con-duct of his business, or as an individual, in-dividual, is bad. or when said licensee or any of his clerks or agents have violated any state law or city ordinance, or when said licensee or his agents harbors any person whose general reputation is bad, or permits them to frequent said place of business, or who shall permit violations of law on the premises wherein said licensed business busi-ness is conducted. The City Council Coun-cil may also refuse to grant an applicant ap-plicant a license for any of the reasons rea-sons aforesaid. No such license shall be refused, or revoked, until a hearing shall have been had by the city council in the matter. Upon a hearing for a revocation, written notice shall be served at least three days prior to the date thereof there-of upon the holder of such license, or his or its manager or agent. Such notice shall state the ground of complaint against the holder of such license, and the time when, and the place where, such hearing shall be had, and it shall be served by delivering the same personally to the holder of such license, or to his manager, or agent. Section 2. In the opinion of the City Council of Springville it is necessary for the peace, health and I safety of the inhabitants of Spring-1 Spring-1 ville that this ordinance take effect ' immediately. I Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, ap-Iproval ap-Iproval by the mayor, and publica-I publica-I tion.
