Show Have You A Boy Old Neighbor By PROF. H. R. MERRILL. Have you a boy, old neighbor, , 'U'ho needs a helping hand To keep him clean and wholesome, An asset to this land? Doe y.mir boy have long hours -' notutng nllK'h to do. But roam the scorching pavements When he ought to be with you? Do you have time to take him And go out among the hills, To help him see their grandeur And direct him to their thrills? Do you know how to teach him Several hundred different ways, To give him his life to service And to live his youthful days? Do you know how to fill his mind So full of lofty thought, That he'll give himself to helpfulness helpful-ness That his "good turn" can't be bought? Do you have those who teach him That his daddy is his friend And that the old home rafters. Covers Joys that never end? If you haven't these, old neighbor, And you love that bonny boy, And would like him still to honor And to fill your heart w-ith joy, Let me tell you this, old comrade, Now before another day, Yon should have that boy eulisted In the helpful B. S. A. The Boy Scout movement, neighbor, It is friend to busy dads. It's a boon to anxious mothers, And a savior of the lads. Back up the world, old crony. And you'll bless I he happy day That you got your boy enlisted In the mighty B. S. A. |
