Show PIONEER DAUGHTERS HAVE INTERESTING .MEETING The Daughters of the Pioneers, met at. the home of the president. Mrs. Olive Anderson, for the first meeting ot the season Thursday, October '.). M. E. Crandall, Jr., delivered a very interesting talk on the subject of '"Loyalty." He referred to the right of women to vote and urged them to use their franchise en election elec-tion dav. Community singiug "Oh, ye Mountains High." was led by Mrs. May Harrison Smith. Mrs. Maiiuda Sumsioii gave a poem by Edgar Guest. -Mrs. Eva Crandall rendered a piano selection and Mrs. ' ,. (). Reynolds gave three short 1 readings.' An address of welcome wis "ivell bv .Mrs. Anderson. The I opening prayer was by Mrs. Eliza I Thorn and the closing prayer by Mrs Sarah Wardsworth. Refresh-! Refresh-! incuts were served by tbe hostess. It was decided to hold the next meeting on the second Thursday ii November at tbe home of Mrs. Elizt Thorn. |
