Show Miss Florence Frandsen Wed To Salt Lake Artist t Artists Florence Frandsen and Howard Edward Nes- len chose to he wed in the high school Art Building, the ; candleliglit ceremony being performed LyJ. Y. Bearnson, r b.shop of the Fifth ward, at 11 a. m., on Wednesday. Ihe bride, a daughter of Mrs. Alice Frandsen of this cily was charming in an afternoon dress of all while Ialique ' wilh white hat,. long white gloves and bridal bouquet. She was attended by her niece, Miss Carol Liechty, maid of honor. hon-or. Uoing best man duties for his brother was Francis Neslen Nes-len qr Salt Lake City. 1 he lovely paintings in the gallery enhanced with a profusion of roses and other summer flowers formed an appropriate ap-propriate setting for the marriage of this Springville artist, whose pictures have often adorned the walls of the gallery. Her husband, also 'a prominent artist of Utah, is a son of Mrs. U. F. Neslen of Salt Lake City. Following their marriage, the couple were guests at a wedding breakfast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frandsen, Frand-sen, where their wedding cake was cut. They left shortly after on a two-weeks' wedding trip in the form of a painting tour which will take them through the south and southwestern sections of the state. Upon returning, return-ing, July 14, they will receive their friends at an "at home" i in the Neslen studio in Salt Lake City. They plan to make their home in Salt Lake. Mrs. Neslen is a graduate of the Brigham Young University Uni-versity and has attended various art schools on the coas't and at the University of Utah. Mr. Neslen received his Masters degree from the University of Utah and subsequently engaged en-gaged in various art work and stage designing in California. He served during the war as an artist for the government, designing and painting war posters. Both have been employed in the art department of the Granite high school the past few years. |
