Show Lovely Home Wedding Unites Local Qouple Highlighting social events of the week, was the wedding and reception re-ception on Monday evening, when Maurine Child became the bride of Pvt. Paul Eggertsen. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Child and Pvt. Eggertsen is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen. The marriage took place at the home of the bride's parents, the ceremony being performed by E. A. Strong, president of Kolob stake, and an uncle of the bride. It was witnessed by immediate family members and close friends. The bride chose for her wedding attire, a powder-blue formal and her bouquet was of white iris and gardenias. She wore a shoulder-length shoulder-length veil caught to her head with a floral piece. She was attended by a sister, or, with Shauna Burnham, Phyllis Mrs. Lee Snow, as matron of hon- B. Harmer, and Melba Child as bridesmaids. They were attired in pastel-colored formals and carried colonial bouquets in matching shades. Hal Eggertsen was best man. Also in the receiving line were parents of the bride and the groom. The home was decorated with palms and ferns for the occasion and a beautiful floral centerpiece of white and blue with tall white tapers, centered the serving table. Mrs. Howard Thorpe and Mrs. Ralph Child acted as hostesses during the evening. Approximately 300 guests called. In charge of the serving were, Mrs. A. G. Peterson, Mrs. Washburn Wash-burn Robertson, Mrs. Conard Ny-bo, Ny-bo, Mrs. Wells Ferguson, aunts, assisted by Shirley Peterson, Phyllis Phyl-lis Peterson, Ardilla Nybo, Shirley Strong and Wanda Robertson, cousins. cou-sins. The gift rooms were in charge of Mrs. E. A. Strong, Mrs. Ernest Bramall, Mrs. Earl Child and Mrs. James Simmons, aunts and sisters -in-law of the couple. Pvt. Eggertsen and his bride left Tuesday evening for Denver, Colo., where they will make their home for the present. |
