Show ception Saturday Night Compliments Iewlyweds 1 Charming in every detail was the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Neil Whiting (Loeen Crandall) Cran-dall) at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Crandall, Cran-dall, Saturday. Approximately 200 relatives and friends called during the evening. Receiving the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Crandall, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Whiting, parents of the groom, Mack Holley, best man, Virginia Clyde of Logan, maid of honor, Yvonne Child and Carma Crandall, bridesmaids, and the bride and groom. The bride was beautifully gowned gown-ed in white crepe de soi with sweetheart sweet-heart neckline and long sleeves. Her tulle veil was fingertip length with silk lace edging and was held in place with a wreath of orange blossoms. The bridesmaids and matron of honor wore pastel-colored formals and nosegay bouquets of rosebuds and calli-lilies. Mothers of the bride and groom also wore formals for-mals and gardenia corsages. The reception program featured several vocal solos by Robert Pierce and Thora Whiting, and Barbara Gudmundsen entertained with piano numbers. Elaine Crandall, sister of the bride, was acting hostess, and Lamar Crandall, a brother, was usher. The dining room table, covered cover-ed with a white linen cloth, was beautifully decorated for the occasion. oc-casion. A centerpiece of white and pink carnations and crystal candelabra can-delabra holding tall white tapers added to the effectiveness of the refreshments, which were served by candlelight. In charge of the serving were Mrs. Mack Holley, assisted by Jane Strong and Lois Johnson, and presiding pre-siding over the gift room were Mrs. Reese Anderson, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Hortense Harward, sister of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Whiting left the following day on a wedding trip to Los Angeles, Calif., and other points of interest. For her going-away going-away costume, Mrs. Whiting chose a tan suit with accessories in pink. The groom wore a similar colored suit. On their return, they plan to make their home in Mapleton. |
