Show u : Young Couple Receive 200 Guests Tuesday Night Mr and Mrs. Richard Boyd Hark nee Minnie Aleen Brimhall, who were married Saturday, June og at the home of the bride's parents par-ents in Spanish Fork, received ,roximately two hundred friends and relatives Tuesday night in the Legion club rooms at Spanish Fork. The lovely young bride was attired at-tired in a beautiful model of white taffeta and wore a corsage of talisman rosebuds. Miss Elaine N'ielson was bridesmaid and she wore a flowered gown with a corsage cor-sage of pink rosebuds. Lloyd Niel-Son Niel-Son was best, man. Also in the receiving line were the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Brimhall of Spanish Fork and Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Clark of Bacchus, parents of the groom. A beautifully decorated tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature min-iature bride and groom .was the central decorative piece, Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to the guests. Dancing comprised the evening's entertainment. Miss Brimhall is a graduate of the Spanish Fork high school and a former student at the Brigham Young university. Mr. Clark graduated gra-duated from Cyprus high school and has been attending Utah State Agricultural college at Logan. He is now employed at the Illinois Powder company plant. The young couple are making their home in Springville. LA MENTA CLUB MEMBERS ENJOYED A PARTY held Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tad Giles. A variety of games comprised the program for the evening, after which a delicious luncheon was served and plans made for a canyon can-yon party. Attending were Mr. .and Mrs. Evon Averett,. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hone, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Evans, Mrs. Harold Barker, and the host: and hostess. RETIRING OFFICERS OF THE FOURTH WARD Primary organization were guests of honor at a party given in Provo canyon by the newly sustained officers of-ficers on Friday evening. Hostesses on the occasion included Mrs. Frankie Averett, president; Mrs. Barbara Francis and Mrs. Helen Whiting, counselors, and Mrs. Hazel Ha-zel Roylance, secretary. Mrs. Mary Reid is retiring president, with Mrs. Theo Thorpe a retiring counselor, and Mrs. Cora Phillips, Mrs. Afton Palfreyman, Mrs. Etta Jones, Mrs. Arvilla Robbins, and Mrs. Edna Wheeler, teachers. The entertainment consisted of games and a delicious supper, followed fol-lowed by a nicely arranged program pro-gram in which gifts of appreciation apprecia-tion were presented to the honored honor-ed guests. Attending were about 40 Primary workers and their partners. MEMBERS OF THE BOOSTER CLUB held a party at Birch's in Hobble Creek canyon Friday night, with games, social conversation and a sumptuous picnic supper enjoyable enjoy-able features. In attendance were Louise Clyde, recently elected club president; Cecelia Maycock, vice-president; Helen Christensen, secretary; Veon Bird, reporter; Donna Whitney, Whit-ney, Carma Crandall, Phyllis Bird, Wanda Holley, Hannah Gene Men-denhall, Men-denhall, Orpha Dee Bird, Dorothy Weight, Doreen Thyrett, and Lucille Lu-cille Oakley. MAPLETON GDHLS HELD A PARTY AT PARK RO-SHE Wednesday afternoon. After swimming, swim-ming, they were served a tasty picnic lunch. Present were Gladys Garlic, , Louise Murdock, Margaret Johnson, John-son, Jenna Vee Jensen, Christie Sorenson, and Lois Johnson. |
