Show Springville Maid, Orem Man To Be Wed Valentine Day . Coming as a surprise to their many friends here is announcement announce-ment this week of the engagement engage-ment and approaching marriage of pretty Miss Joyce Weight of this city and Earl J. Prestwich of Orem. St. Valentine's Day, February $ 14, has heen chosen for the wedding wed-ding day, the nuptials to he performed per-formed in the Mesa, Arizona, LDS Temple, where the couple, in company with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Prestwich, will meet the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight, To Be Wed In Mesa Temple . . s who will come from Pasadena, Calif., for the wedding. Others who will witness the temple rites are the bride -elect's bother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Weight; also her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sanders, all of Pasadena, California. v Mr. Prestwich plans to leave about March 1 for the service, after having a mission cancelled. He is a graduate of the Lincoln high school and Sharon LDS Seminary, and a former student of the Brigham Young University. Univer-sity. The bride-to-be, a graduate of the LDS Seminary, is a seiior at the high school. She plans to continue her school work here following their wedding trip through Arizona and Southern Utah. Since her parents left to make their home in Pasadena late in the fall, Joyce has been making her home with a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Mead Weight, Springville, while she finishes school. Complimenting Miss Weight several parties are planned for the near future, including miscellaneous mis-cellaneous showers to be given by Eva Carol Leslie and Joan Miner, and also by Patricia Fra-zier Fra-zier of Springville, and Glenna Ivie of Orem. rV"W.""-" ','IJ ! Fidelity Club At Melody Inn Fidelity Club members were delightfully de-lightfully entertained last; Thursday Thurs-day evening at the Melody Inn, with Mrs. Marjorie Davis as hostess. hos-tess. Following a delicious lunch, cards were enjoyed and the prizes went to Mrs. Floss Cates, Mrs. Afton Clark and Mrs. Bernice Cranmer. The next meeting of the club was planned for Thursday evening, February 8, to be at the home of Mrs. Olive Miller. |
