Show ! local Girl Takes Home Wedding ows , & A SHOWER WAS HELD FOR MRS. STANLEY ROBERTS nee Margaret Larsen, at the home of Mrs. Mae Child on Saturday evening. A delightful program was featured during the evening,.-with Miss Virginia Rivers giving a 3-act play; Ardella Nebo of Spanish Fork, a vocal solo, "Because," accompanied ac-companied by Miss Maurine Child at the piano; and a piano selection by Miss Maurine Child. In conclusion, tasty refreshments refresh-ments were served to approximately approximate-ly thirty guests. The bride-elect also received a lovely assortment of gifts. OF INTEREST TO FRIENDS HERE is the announcement of the marriage mar-riage of Miss Neva Beth Miner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Miner t Provo, . and. Kimball . J. Sorenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. I C. Sorenson of Provo, formerly of ittiis city, which took place on Friday Fri-day in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. I. T. Larson of this city announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Margaret Larson, Lar-son, to Sanley Roberts, son of L. M. Roberts of Pasadena, Calif., which took place on August 30 at the home of the bride's parents. Bishop C. G. Laney of the Third ward performed the ceremony in the presence of immediate family members and close friends. The bride is a' graduate of the local high school and Mr. Roberts has been attending military school in southern California. The young couple are making their home in Springville for the present. A WATERMELON BUST WAS ENJOYED by the high school football boys and their coach, Art Gilbert, at Kelly's Grove, Hobble Creek canyon, can-yon, Friday evening. It was in the form of a get-acquainted social and the group enjoyed the time in social conversation and games. Approximately 30 young men participated. |
