Show Blair Binks Introduces His Bride Of January 1, to Relatives, Friends Blair Binks is introducing his new bride to his relatives and friends since New Year's Day. The nev Mrs Binks is the former Connie Parkinson, charm. ing daughter of Mrs. Kathleen Parkinson of Salt Lake City and Blair is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks of Mapleton. They were married on January 1, in Ely, Nevada. Connie is a graduate of Fleetwood Fleet-wood School of Blackpool, England Eng-land and is employed in the office of Culligan's in Salt Lake City. Blair is a graduate of the Springville Spring-ville High School and Seminary and graduated from the Brigham Young University with a degTee of Bachelor of Science in the Spring of 1950. He is employed in the Federal Reserve Bank of Salt Lake City. They will make their home in Salt Lake City. A bridal shower was given for the bride Wednesday evening in the Mapleton Ward Church. She was attractive in a navy blue knit dress and wore a corsage of rose-colored rose-colored rose buds. Introducing her to the guests was Amanda Binks who wore powder blue cashmere and her corsage was also .rose-colored .rose-colored "rose buds. Inez Harmer and Gladys Parry were in charge of the serving and were assisted by Dorothy Binks, Collette Binks, Carma Frandsen and Rene Dove. Pearl Holley and Lily Hopla were in charge of the gift room. Lillian Binks acted as Mistress of ceremonies and introduced the following program: prayer, Mary Whiting; song, Lorie Bird; reading Helen Wiscombe; song, Lenore Bills and Beth Jensen, accompanied accompan-ied by Norma Cox; song, Merrill Binks, accompanied by his mother, Rowe Binks; reading Marie Huff; song, Orpha Dee Johnson, accompanied accom-panied by Anna Mae Wardle; piano selection, Joyce Erickson; toast to bride, Regina Erickson; song Judy Wiscombe; organ solo, Leta Coleman; Cole-man; prayer, Zina Dibble. Several showers and other parties par-ties are planned for the bride in Salt Lake City. |
