Price, nee Georgene Gividen Mr., Mrs. Ervin R. Price, Newlyweds Honored at Mapleton Reception Georgene Gividen, pretty daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Gividen of Mapleton, and Ervin Roy Price of Manti were married Thursday evening at the home of the bride by Bishop Welby Warren. War-ren. Immediately after the ceremony cere-mony a reception was given for them in the Mapleton Memorial hall. The bride was beautiful in a balerina length gown of nylon net with lace trim. It was fashioned with a form fitting bodice and was strapless with a bolero top. Her veil was of nylon and fell from a crown of tiny seed pearls She wore a corsage of white gardenias and red rose buds Mrs Gividen, mother of the bride, chose a grey afternoon dress and wore a corsage of white gardenias and salmon colored roses, while Mrs Price, mother of the groom, wore, peach colored crepe and a corsage of white gardenias and talismen roses Harold Gividen, brother of the bride, performed the duties of best man Bonnie Gividen was in charge of the gift book and Dewey Nelson presented thank you cards Mrs Rhea Williams was matron of honor and the bridesmaids were: Mary Jo Gividen, Jeane Price, Colleen Col-leen Pace, Barbara Hall and Kathleen Kath-leen Nelson, who were charming in balarina length formals in pastel shades Little Miss Marsha Ann Nelson was flower girl and was prettily dressed in orchid They all carried nose-gays of mums and carnations After receiving guests the remainder re-mainder of the evening was spent in dancing with the Springville high school orchestra furnished the music Lone Bird sang a solo and was accompanied by LuAnn Stevens; Stev-ens; a toast to the bride was given by Ethel Jensen and Bishop Welby Warren gave a toast to the groom. In charge of the serving was Marie Stone and she was assisted by Rose Bona, Tressa Sorensen and Norma Johnson A beautiful wedding cake trimmed trim-med with bride and groom dolls and pink rose buds formed a centerpiece cen-terpiece for the serving table. Helping in the gift room were Melvina Johnson, Helen Beck and Florence Wride. Georgene is a student at the Springville high school. Ervin is a graduate of the Manti high school and has served two years in the Navy. He has been attending Snow College this fall. They will make their home in Manti. |
