Show Recent Bride Honored at Shower Friday Complimenting Mrs. Robert Harris, the former Marilyn Thorpe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Thorpe of this city, who was married in Washington Washing-ton February 5, a bridal shower was given Friday evening of last week in the Second-Eighth ward church, with her mother acting as hostess. Following their marriage, the couple spent a short honeymoon in Washington and the groom left to serve with the airforce in Japan. The party was attended by approximately ap-proximately seventy-five friends and relatives of the bride who enjoyed a program in which Mrs. Mae Huntington gave stories stor-ies from the book Mother Mason; Ma-son; Mrs. Reva Roylance, tributes tri-butes to the bride and Mrs. Arvil Clark, vocal solos, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Maurice Bird. The evening concluded with colored slides of the bride's wedding and nicely arranged refreshments. re-freshments. Later the guests also enjoyed viewing the bride's lovely trousseu and gifts. |
