Show 400 Attend Informal Wedding Reception To Honor Sylvia Scovil - Salvatore Tedesco, Wed Sunday o-noc? a1ten1stlc of the sincere hospitality extended guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Scovil at Mapleton, was the informal and well-arranged werl- ding reception, which they gave Sunday afternoon to honor their only daughter Sylvia and Salvatore Salva-tore Tedesco, who were wed at high noon. The couple exchanged marriage mar-riage vows as they stood before the huge brick fireplace, banked on either side with pastel-colored gladioli. The ceremony was performed per-formed by the father of the bride, precinct justice, in the presence of immediate family members and close friends. The bride's only attendant at-tendant was her aunt, Mrs. Edith Scovil, Avho was matron of honor, while Kenneth Butler of ElCer-rito, ElCer-rito, Calif., was best man to the groom. A wedding breakfast followed the marriage ceremony, being served to approximately thirty guests. For the marriage ceremony and to greet her friends throughout the afternoon, the bride was charmingly 'attired in a white lace over blue afternoon gown with white lace gloves. Her attire was accented by a corsage of rose-buds, carnations and gladioli. She was assisted in receiving ,by Mr. Salvatore Sal-vatore and her parentsfMrs. Scovil Sco-vil chose to weaf a pink afternoon gown with rose corsage for the reception. More than 400 friends called during dur-ing the afternoon and enjoyed a delicious smorgasbord luncheon. The guests seated themselves at small tables arranged with place mats in the dining room as well as in the spacious garden. Serving desert from a specially-equipped specially-equipped booth was Mrs. Ray Klauck. Mrs. C. O. Claudin also assisted as-sisted in serving and Mrs. Pauline Linde was in charge of the guest book. In charge of serving beverages bever-ages to the large crowd was Harrison Har-rison Gonover and Herbert Czirr. Mapleton friends of Mrs. Scovil who assisted in the kitchen and with the serving, included: Mrs. Barbara Murray, Mrs. Carol Hick-enlooper, Hick-enlooper, Mrs. Lenore Bills, Mrs. Ivy Snow, Mrs. LaRie Warren, Mrs. Beth Jensen, Mrs. Iris Dibble Dib-ble and Mrs. Naomi Bird. Arranging gifts in the gift room were Mrs. Herbert Czirr and Mrs. Harrison Conover. E. R. Richards of Provo took informal pictures of the wedding and reception throughout the afternoon. af-ternoon. J A beautiful all-white, three-layered wedding cake, trimmed with white wedding bells was cut by the bride and groom to climax their reception. The newlyweds are leaving this week to make their home in Berkeley, Ber-keley, Calif., where Mr. Tedesco plans to continue his education at the Univ. of Calif. Among the out-of-town relatives rela-tives and close friends who carne especially for the wedding were the bride's maternal grandfather, Major E. H. Allen of Chicago, HI., the groom's mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Mariani and his grandmother, Mrs. Emily Ferrari all of San Francisco, Calif., Ken Butler of ElCerrito, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hiscox of Los Angeles. |
