She is the former Miss Lenore Mecham. Mr., Mrs. David Sumsion at Home After Honeymoon to West Coast Just home from a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, Nev., Los Angeles, and San Diego, Calif., and Tijuana,Mex., are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. David Sumsion, who were married mar-ried December 12, in a ceremony cere-mony performed by President Leo A. Crandall, in the Third-Ninth Third-Ninth ward church. Mrs. Sumsion Sum-sion is the former Lenore Mecham, Me-cham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie . Mecham and David's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sumsion. The ceremony was followed by a reception at which many relatives and friends extended best wishes to the couple. The bride chose traditional white satin for her wedding gown designed with wide lace ruffles beneath satin scallops to form the skirt on which were lace appliques. The sleeves sleev-es were of lace and a lace bodice bo-dice extended below the fitted waistline. An orchid surrounded surround-ed with a spray of stephanotis formed the bridal bouquet. Attending the bride were, Verna Mecham as maid of honor hon-or and Kathy Binks and La-Raye La-Raye Johnson, bridesmaids and Edna Mecham was flower girl. Their gowns, similar in desien to that of the bride were of plain color cotton with plaid ruffles at the bottom of the skirts in pink, blue, orchid and green. Their flowers were in corresponding shades and the little flower girl carried a tiny basket of flowers. Stanley Sumsion, brother of the groom, was best man. Assisting with reception of the guests also were parents of the couple, Mrs. Mecham wearing wear-ing pink and Mrs. Sumsion, navy blue. Their corsages were of vanda orchids. Orchid and pale green were the colors carried out in decorations deco-rations and were reflected in the three-tiered wedding cake with decorations of bells and orchid ribbon. Howard Mecham and George Horton greeted guests at the door and the gifts were in charge of Nadine Fish and Gene Waters. Norma Horton played organ music as the guests arrived. Refreshments were served by Nina Madsen, Bonnie Peay and Karen Holley. The coup'e are both employed employ-ed in Provo and are making their home in Springville. |
