Show former resident and son die in same accident Joint funeral services were held Monday in Delta for Fern jfelson Tippetts, 51, native of jjapleton and former Springville Spring-ville resident, and her son, Joe Howard, 12, both of whom were residents of Estacada, Oregon. joe was killed July 1, 1969, jn an automobile accident at " snowville, Box Elder County and Mrs. Tippetts died July 2, 1969 in a Tremonton Hospital .(rom injuries received in the Ii same accident. Mrs. Tippetts was born May .. 24, 1918 in Mapleton, a daugh-If daugh-If ter of Andrew V. and Pearl Strong Nelson. She attended (schools in Springville and graduated grad-uated from the Springville 'A High School in 1936. 'She married Heber M. Tip-Ci Tip-Ci -pelts on May 26, 1937 in the H-'tfanti LDS Temple. She and jer husband had resided in DeF .la until 1960 when they moved 6 Estacada. " "l-She was a member of the Zt'lflS Church. e,l"Joe Tippetts was born March 'f 1957, in Delta, a son of He-Id He-Id 'ber M. and Fern Nelson Tip- rpetts. '.He was a member of the LDS Church. (Both are survived by husband hus-band and father of Estacada, Oregon, and the following sons and daughters, brothers and - sisters: Thomas Andrew Tip-I Tip-I petts, Roy Harris Tippetts, J John David Tippetts and Hazel i Louise Tippetts, all Estacada; I Don Tippetts, stationed with '"!the U.S. Air Force in Hawaii; i William Heber Tippetts, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Ivan ( Dee-na) Dee-na) Flake, Provo. She is also survived by sev-I sev-I en grandchildren and three bro- thers and three sisters, Leon Nelson, American Fork; John Nelson and Marvin Nelson both of Spanish Fork; Mrs. RicharQ fj. iThelma) Ostland and Mrs. Ivan (Fay) Holt, both of Salt i Lake City and Mrs. Myrl (Ma-J; (Ma-J; rie) Black, Springville.
