Show Services held here for elderly resident Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday in Fourth-Tenth Fourth-Tenth Ward Chapel for Mrs. Charlotte Marie Berner Bartholomew, Bar-tholomew, 87, widow of George N. Bartholomew, who died Sunday, Sun-day, July 2, 1967, at Utah Valley Val-ley Hospital of ailments incident inci-dent to age. Burial was at Fayette. Fay-ette. Mrs. Bartholomew was born Aug. 22, 1884 in Lucerne, Switzerland, a daughter of Ferdinand and Maria Shank Berner. She came to Utah in 1903 as a convert to the LDS Church. She was married to George M. Bartholomew on June 2, 1909 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1950. Mrs. Charlotte B. Bartholomew, Bartholo-mew, 87, for whom services were conducted Wednesday. They made their home in Fayette, Utah, following their marriage, and later moved to Springville. She had also lived for a time in Spring Lake, and then in Salt Lake City. An active member of the LDS Church, she served a mission in Missouri in 1907. She was president of the Fayette Relief Society ten years and also taught in the Sunday School. Surviving are four sons and six daughters, Mrs. Henry V. (Marie) Larsen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. John (Virge) Page of Roosevelt; Mrs. Melvin (Grace) Roberts of Brigham City; Mrs. George B. (Helen) Crawford, American Fork; Lee B. Bartholomew, Mapleton; Ben G. Bartholomew, Midvale; Mrs. A. Kyle (Gertrude) Smith, Or-em; Or-em; Mrs. Lee M. (Edna) Gour-ley, Gour-ley, North Ogden; John G. and Mark Bartholomew, Springville; Spring-ville; 54 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Gourley, Rexburg, Idaho. |
