Show Services held Saturday for Wm. Moosman Funeral services were held Saturday at Wheeler Mortuary for William Moosman, 94, who died Wednesday afternoon, September 28, 1966, at the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. Ivan Felix, 1155 So. 7th E., of ailments incident to age. Bishop Bish-op Don Watts of the Twelfth Ward was in ' charge of the servces. Burial was at the Smithfield Cemetery. He was born Dec. 9, 1871, in Pine Valley, Washington County, Coun-ty, a son of Christian and Mary Justet Moosman, and married Sissie Christine Schow on July 19, 1897, in the Manti LDS Temple. She died in 1941. Mr. Moosman lived in Esca-lante Esca-lante for 65 years, and in Smithfield for 11 years, before moving to Springville 14 years ago. He was active in the LDS Church, having served as secretary sec-retary of his Elder's Quorum, secretary-treasurer of the Sunday Sun-day School, secretary of the Seventy's Quorum, and Sunday Sun-day School superintendent. He filled two stake missions, was a genealogy worker, ward teaching tea-ching supervisor, and member of the Old Folks committee. Mr. Moosman was justice of the peace in Escalante, a school trustee, and a member of the Escalante town board. Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Walter Raymond Ray-mond Moosman and Ira La-Grand La-Grand Moosman both of Smith-field; Smith-field; Mrs. Lillie May Barney and Mrs. Orin (Melda) Porter of Springville; and Mrs. Ralph (Nina) Wyman of Spanish Fork; 26 grandchildren; 82 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Dora Collings of Provo. |
