Show Lions, Ladies At Dinner Program Hear Polio Talk By Dr. C. A. Smith Lions and their ladies met conjointly at Jack's Place at a regular bi-monthly dinner-program on Thursday evening of last week. The program for the evening featured Dr. C. M. Smith of Provo, in a talk on polio 3 He told of methods of treating the disease and of the cost, and explained ex-plained the advancement made in ' the medical world in regard to the causes of polio. The meeting opened with prayer by Arvil Bird and community singing was led by Wilford Man-waring Man-waring with Deal Mendenhall. club president, at the piano. Mrs. Or-vil Or-vil Clark also entertained with vocal vo-cal numbers, accompanied by Mrs. Lacelle Sumsion. Table decorations were in charge of Mrs. Charles Porter, and Wilford Wil-ford Manwaring was in charge of the program. During the meeting mention was made of the Hobble Creek fencing project being sponsored by the club, and every member pledged his support. The attendance prize for the evening went to Mrs. Deal Mendenhall. Men-denhall. The entertainment was attended by approximately thirty club members mem-bers and partners, and other guests, including Carl Norton, Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Clark, Mrs. Elva Averett." |
