Show SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR MRS. CORA PEXT0N Largely attended funeral services serv-ices were conducted in the Second Sec-ond ward chapel, Monday afternoon, after-noon, by the Fifth ward bishopric for Mrs. Ella Cora Cole Pexton, 76, widow of J. N. Pexton, who died Friday morning at the family fam-ily residence, after a short illness. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, directed by Claudin funeral home. i Mrs. Pexton' was born at Nephi, August 13, 1869, a , daughter of Wm. James and Emma Jenkins Cole. She spent her early life .in Nephi and was married to Joseph Nels Pexton in the Manti temple on November 21, 1890. Mr. Pexton Pex-ton died in April, 1929. She had been active in church work including Relief society in which she was a teacher several years. She worked with her husband, hus-band, who operated a candy business busi-ness here, during their earlier married life. She is survived by three sons, William J. and Maurice C. Pexton of Salt Lake City; Carl J. Pexton of Oakland, Calif.; alos 10 grandchildren grand-children and one great grandchild; five brothers and sisters, Wilford Cole, Nephi; David Cole, Decklo, Ida.; Mrs. Clara Hopes, Eureka; Mrs. Nan Francom, St. George; Mrs. Ruby Weaver, Nebraska. |
