Show Services Held In 4th Vard Sat. For Mrs.MenettA.Bird Many relatives and friends paid tributes of respect to the life of Mrs. Menett A. Bird at funeral services conducted in the Fourth ward chapel Saturday afternoon. J. A. Bearnson", bishop of the Fifth ward, was in charge. Burial was in the city cemetery, under direction direc-tion of A. Y. Wheleer and Son mortuary. Mrs. Bird died Thursday morning morn-ing at a Provo hispital, following a short illness resulting from a heart attack. She was born in Springville October 6, 1886, a daughter of David W. and Martha Reynolds Alleman, and had made her home in Springville always. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had served as a Relief Society teacher for 25 consecutive years. During the past few years she has ben especially interested in genealogy and temple work. She was a member of the Springville camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and was also affiliated affil-iated with the Mothers Study club. She is survived by her husband, Reed Bird, and five sons and daughters: Howard Bird. Salt Lake City; J. Reed Bird, Provo; . Mrs. Margaret B. Williams, Pay-son; Pay-son; Miss Martha Bird and Dan Bird, Springville; also four grandchildren. |
