Show 11 FUNERAL RITES , FRIDAY FOR CALVIN KELSEY Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted in the First ward chapel Friday at 1 p. m. for Calvin Kel-sey, Kel-sey, 86, pioneer of Utah and Arizona, Ari-zona, who died at his home here Wednesday of ailments incident to his age. Friends may call at the family residence, 1220 East Fourth South street, before the services. Burial W'U be in the Evergreen cemetery ceme-tery under direction of the A. Y. Wheeler & Son mortuary. Mr. Kelsey was born in Union Fort, Utah, October 16, 1856, a son i of Easton and Mary Jane Cox Kel- 1 sey. He followed farming during his earlier life and was instru-1 mental in colonizing sections in southern Utah and in Arizona. He j was with the first company which went into the Snowflake, Ariz., j area to locate suitable community sites and build roads for L. D. S. colonies, which came later. I He came to Springville several years ago from Fairview. Surviving besides his widow, mw. Annie E. Kelsey, are nine of 0 sons and daughters. They are: I I h' , Se 01sen- Calvi".
