Show FUNERAL HELD TUES. FOR MRS. ANN BINKS Funeral services were conducted in the Third ward chapel Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Ann D. Binks, 86, widow of Thomas Binks, who died Saturday at 6:30 a. m., at the family residence, of ailments incident to her age. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery directed by A. Y. Wheeler Wheel-er and son. She was born in Springville on Nov. 15, 1856, a daughter of William Wil-liam and Ann Drayson Bramall, and had lived here all her life. She married Thomas Binks Feb. 19, 1880 in the Endowment House, Salt Lake City. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in 1941. He died July 20, 1941. Mrs. Binks' activities during her later life have been confined chiefly chief-ly to her home and its surroundings surround-ings in which she took a special pride. She was always a loyal supporter sup-porter of church, civic and charity projects. Surviving are five sons and daughters, John Binks of Salt Lake City; Charles, May and Frank Binks and Mrs. Emma Rowland of Springville; nine grandchildren and also five great grandchildren, with one grandson in the Armed Forces. |
