Show OUTLNG PLANNED BY KIWANIS THIS EVENING Ladies' Night Program, Supper Featured; Kiwanians Plan Letter-Writing Project The Kiwanis club meeting this week will be in the form of an outing at Cherry Camp in Hobble Creek canyon this evening, announces an-nounces Clarence L. Jensen, secretary. sec-retary. It will be Ladies' Night, and a fine program of entertainment is being planned under direction of Frank Cranmer and Merle Sargent. Sar-gent. Club members and their partners part-ners are asked to meet at the City Drug store at 7 p. m., and transportation trans-portation will be arranged for the group C. E. Eggertsen,, of the House committee of the club, has this phase of the entertainment in charge. 1 The club meeting last week with H. T. Reynolds as toastmaster, and A. E. Strong, president, in charge, featured a talk by Mayor John E. Booth of Spanish Fork. He discussed "Accidents In The Home," and gave much interesting interest-ing and informative material in his talk. A. G. Peterson was welcomed into the club as a new member during the evening. Two vocal solos were given by Mrs. F. C. Packard, accompanied by Mrs. Maurice Bird at the piano. It was announced that the club members will begin immediately on the project of sending a group letter to boys of Kiwanians in the Armed Forces. It is planned to select four boys at each club meet, dividing the membership into fourths with the members of each group making up the letter. |
