Show MRS. N. J. DEAL DIES AT FAMILY HOME Funeral services will be held in the Third ward chapel Friday at 2 p. m., for Mrs. Nancy J. Deal, 89, widow of Daniel E. Deal, who died Tuesday at the family residence, 256 North Main street. Friends may call at the family residence before the services. Burial Bur-ial will be in the Evergreen cemetery, ceme-tery, directed by A. Y. Wheeler and Son mortuary. Mrs. Deal was born on the plains of Nebraska at what was known as Chimney Rock, while her parents, J. W. and Evelyn Brown Clark, were enroute to Utah from Texas. She and her twin brother, Hyrum Clark, were the youngest members of the pioneer pio-neer company which arrived at Grantsville that year. With her family, she went to Washington county where they had been sent by Brigham Young to colonize. She lived there until her marriage to Mr. Deal in 1872, and then spent about six years in settlements set-tlements in Arizona and New Mexico. Mex-ico. She came with her husband and family to Springville in 1878, and had resided here since that time. During her early life she was active ac-tive in church auxiliary organization organiza-tion work. Her husband died about thirty years ago. She was the mother of ten sons and daughters, with five living, as follows: Mrs. Maude Wood, Mrs. Charles Boyer and Mrs. Ben E. Argyle of Springville; Mrs. J. B. Bedford of Rupert, Ida., Mrs. W. R- Finch of Los Angeles, Calif., also there are thirteen grandchildren, grandchil-dren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. |
