Show former Resident Dies in Payson; Burial Here Wed. William Singleton, 63, former resident of this city, died at Pay-son Pay-son Saturday evening, following-more following-more than a years illness. Born in Springville, May 20, 1887, he was a son of Hercules and Phoebe Singleton. He lived here during his early life and also for awhile after his children were grown. He had been a mail carrier car-rier on a route between Payson, Eureka and Levan and more recently re-cently was employed with the railroad at Provo. He lived in Pay-son Pay-son for the past nine years and before be-fore that time resided in Eureka. The family had also lived in Canada Can-ada and in Idaho. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Morrison Singleton, whom he married in the Manti Temple, August 2, 1911; also a son .William Garth Singleton, Salt Lake City; four daughters, Mrs. Odessia Yorgason, Mrs. Lois Has-' kell, Mrs. Iris Crook of Payson; Mrs. Vilo Barrett of Provo; 10 grandchildren and two brothers, and a sister, David Singleton, Salt Lake City; Merrill Singleton and Mrs. Malinda Sumsion, Springville. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the Payson First ward chapel. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen cemetery. |
