Show Funeral Services ; Friday For Springville Woman Mary Lydia Jones Weatherell, 66, died Tuesday morning at the family home, 61 E. 2nd N. She had been in ill health for a number num-ber of years. She was born Sept. 17, 1884,, at Carlisle, Cumberlaine, England, the daughter of Thomas and Rose Ann Cousins Jones. She was married mar-ried in Carlisle, England, April 10, 1906, to Fred R. Weatherell. The family came to America in 1907 settling in Salt Lake City until 1949 when they moved to Springville. The couple received their endowments in the Salt Lake temple in 1909. Mrs. Weatherell was active in the Relief society of the Burton and Forest Dell wards of Salt Lake City. She is survived by her husband, one son, F. Richard Weatherell, two daughters, Freda W. Kruger, Hood River, Ore., and Rosa W. Maycock, Springville; seven grandchildren; grand-children; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn T. Burton, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Violet T. Curtis, Tokyo, Japan. Ja-pan. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed Friday at 1 p.m., in the Forest Dell ward chapel, Ashton Ave., and Lake St., Salt Lake City by Bishop T. Quinton Cannon. Friends may call at the family residence here this evening and at the Salt Lake Chapel from 11 a.m., until time of the services. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City cemetery, ceme-tery, directed by Claudin Funeral Home. |
