Show Funeral Services Held Monday for Use M. Atkinson Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Monday afternoon in the Fair-banks-Pyne Funeral Home in Orcm for Lillie McGhee Atkinson, 75, mother of Carl E. Atkinson of this city, who died Thursday afternoon at a Provo hospital. Peter Niel-son, Niel-son, former bishop of the Third ward, was in charge. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Atkinson was injured last Tuesday night, in a fall at the Atkinson home, North Main St., suffering a fractured hip and arm. She was taken immediately to the Utah Valley hospital. She was born April 8, 1876, in Alta Vista, Va., a daughter of J. A. and Alice McGhee. She received her education in Alta Vista and was married in 1898 to George W. Atkinson. They moved in 1916 to Chester, Pa., where she had resided until coming here two years ago to reside with a son, Carl E. Atkinson. Survivors include three sons, Roy Atkinson, Philadelphia, Pa.; Clyde Atkinson, New Orleans, La., Carl E. Atkinson, Springville; and three daughters, Mrs. Esther Mc-Makin, Mc-Makin, Miami Beach, Fla., Mrs. Lottie Ealdridge, Kansas City, Mo. and Mrs. Virginia Simms, Dallas, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. |
