Show Funeral Services Held Tues. For Hans C. Rigtrup Funeral services were conducted in the First ward chapel Tuesday afternoon for Hans Christian Rigtrup, Rig-trup, 73, long-time resident of this city, who died suddenly Sunday morning, at the family residence, 915 South Fourth East street. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, under direction of Claud-in Claud-in Funeral home. Mr. Rigtrup was born March 28, 1877, in .Spanish Fork, a son of Hans Christian and Annie Peterson Rigtrup. A farmer and poultryman, he was one of the first members of the Utah Poultry Cooperative Association, As-sociation, and served on the board of directors a number of years. He was active in LDS church work and held the office of High Priest at the time of his death. He was custodian of the First ward chapel for ten years. He married Clara Cherrington in Spanish Fork in 1905 and two years later the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He is survived by his widow and two sons and two daughters, Frank F. and Reed L. Rigtrup of Springville; Spring-ville; Mrs. Marie Isom of Hurricane and Mrs. Lois Thurber of Gooding, Ida.; 15 grandchildren; a brother, William Rigtrup of Spanish Fork. |
