Show DR. N. PEAL SERVICES HELD Impressive and well attended funeral services were conducted last Friday afternoon in the Second Sec-ond ward chapel for Dr. Nelson Beal, well known and highly respected re-spected citizen of this community, communi-ty, who died at a Salt Lake hospital hos-pital the preceding Tuesday, of a cerebral hemorrhage. T'rie services serv-ices were under the direction of Bishop Earl Sumsion of the ward. The speakers, each of whom spoke in highest terms of their friend telling of his fine character charac-ter and of his services to the community, were Dr. L. E. Otte-son, Otte-son, Selvoy J. Boyer, C. G. Salisbury Salis-bury of the stake presidency, and E. A. Strong, former bishop of the Second ward. Bishop Sumsion read a tribute of respect from the Kiwanis club. Music was given by Harvey Hutchinson who rendered a vocal solo, with violin accompaniment bv Mrs. Eileen Bird and piano, Mrs. Carl David. Miss Helen Palfreyman Pal-freyman rendered a vocal solo, with Mrs. Eileen Bird and Miss Phylis Smart, v'olin and Miss Barbara Gudmundsen, piano; Miss Alzada Wilmott gave an organ solo and Elmo Coffman gave the closing number, a vocal solo, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Mary Witney. The invocation was offered by A. G. Thorn and the benediction by Edward Boyer of the bishv opric. John M. bor'us, a brother-in-law of Salt Lake City, dedicated dedi-cated the grave at the City cemetery. |
