Show Funeral services Saturday for John M. Donga!! Funeral services are tentatively tenta-tively set Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Third-Ninth ward church, for John W. Dougall, 85, .life-long resident of Springville Spring-ville who died Wednesday morning from a long illness. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday before be-fore the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery. Mr. Dougall was born in Springville November 19, 1874, a son of Hugh 'M. and Mary Catherine Streeper Dougall. He received his education in the city public school and the Hun-gerford Hun-gerford Academy. From 1906 to 1910, he served ser-ved as Springville City postmaster post-master and later as a U. S. government surveyor. He was also city engineer for a time. Mr. Dougall homesteaded ranch land in . Hobble Creek canyon and for forty years was one of Springville's successful suc-cessful farmers and stockmen. He retired only a few years ago. ' He married Harriet Wheeler November 28, 1900 at Springville Spring-ville and they observed their 59th wedding day last year. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter and three sons: Mrs. Josephine D. Robison of Lehi; Hugh and Barney Dougall Dou-gall of Springville and Dr. John Mack Dougall of Houston, Hous-ton, Texas; also six grandchildren grand-children and two great grandchildren; grand-children; a sister, Mrs. J. X. (Emma) Gardner of Springville. Spring-ville. See picture page 8. |
