U.S. Steel makes appointments Two key management appointments ap-pointments have been made at United States Steel's Geneva Works, it was announced today to-day by George A. Jedenoff,.. general superintendent at Geneva. Gen-eva. Gordon Bywater, former superintendent su-perintendent of the Geneva Nitrogen Plant, has been named general supervisor-design engineering, and Dean G. Wilson, formerly the general supervisor-coal processing and chemistry at the Raw Materials Mater-ials Research Labratory, has been appointed to Mr. Bywa-ter's Bywa-ter's old position. Both changes chang-es are effective today. Mr. Jedenoff said the moves will strengthen Geneva's position posi-tion in the fast-growing coal chemicals field throughout the Intermountoain area ' as well as new steel process development develop-ment by using to greater advantage ad-vantage the engineering design and production experience of the two Utah steel industry veterans. Dr. Wilson was born in Pay-son, Pay-son, Utah, and received a M.S. degree in chemistry, mathematics mathe-matics and physics from BYU. His Ph.
