Show SPRINGVILLE MAYOR LAUDS BOYSCOUTS Mayor George Maycock Tells Rotarians of Boy Scout Caravan to Utah's Dixie. The accomplishments of the Boy Scouts of the TInipanogos couueil were related to the members of the Provo Itotary club Friday evening by Mayor George Maycock of Springville In an interesting as well as educational address. Mayor Maycock, who accompanied the recent Boy Scout caravan to Zion canyon and other scenic spots in .Utah's southland, told of the trip, the splendid time the Boy Scouts had enjoyed and the exceptional manner in which the boys had conducted con-ducted themselves. He told in detail concerning the stops made at the various places, emphasizing the camping at Fillmore Fill-more where an impressive program was given. Mayor Maycock declared that the boys do not get the various merit badges through any superfluous form but through actual hard work. He described the different things that a boy must study and become familiar with before he is given any of the merit badges and said that oftentimes of-tentimes a boy will fail once or twice in the exams before finally mastering master-ing the subject.
