Show FESTIVAL HELD OF PRIMARIES Springville and Mapleton Wards Have Program at City Park. That the Primary organizations of the Springville and Mapleton wards are functioning was well demonstrated at the Primary festival festi-val held on the Springville city park Monday afternoon June 30. The dances in costume, by the nriousjvards, were viewed with much interest by the large crowd of children and spectators, which numbered num-bered more than five hundred. Each number on the program showed evidence of much drilling on the part of the youngsters under careful supervision of the teachers in charge. The Bonneville ward of Provo also al-so came in with a well prepared number on the program. Mrs. Lillie T. Ureezo, honorary member of the general board of the primary and Mrs. Anna Nehokcr, physica1 director of the general j board, both of Salt Lake City wore! in attendance. j There were present from the Utah stake board from Provo, President I Nellie Robinson. Mrs. Norma Bui-1 lock, Mrs. Sadie Jones. Mrs. Alice Olson and Mrs. Dorothy Cassily. Mrs. Wilson of Payson, president of the Nelio slake primary her counselor. coun-selor. Mrs. Anna Itowo Beck nf Spanish Fork and other members of the board were also in attendance. , Following is the program as car-1 ried out : i Community singing "America" led Mrs. June M. Pierce ; prayer by Mrs. Julia Dallin : song "Festal Pays" by all the Primary children;! Third ward ; "Vineyard Dance" Fourth ward; "Gustav Skoal," Mapleton; singing by all the primary children "Crown of the Lovely June Tide"; benediction by, Mrs. Clara Boyer. I Two bal games marked the close of day when the Second ward girls defeated the Second ward boys in ft game of "Dainish" while the Third ward boys defeated the Third ward girls at a game of baseball. Refreshments were served by the ' officersof the organization. |
