Show SALEM BOYS INJURED IN COLLISION Automobiles Collide on Highway High-way Near Columbia Steel Corporation Sunday A. M. While attempting to pass a northbound north-bound cur on the state highway near the Columbia Steel corporation's corpora-tion's plant, a car driven by J. F. McKnight of Price, collided Sunday morning with a southbound car driven by Claude Heddoes of Salem, with the result that Beddoes was knocked unconscious and LeGrnnde Carlson, also of Salem, suffered a deep cut on the forehead. McKnight, Mc-Knight, who was accompanied by Fred WLnkcnarder, also of Price, escaped injury as did Vernal Bed-does Bed-does and Byron Davis, who also were in the lieddoes car. The injured men were brought, inlo Prove where their wounds were dressed. Later they were taken to their homes. Both of the cars were badly damaged. dam-aged. McKnight's car was towed into Prove, wher o he .disposed of it on a trade and continued his journey jour-ney into Salt Lake City, where his daughter had been sent to undergo an operation for appendicitis. Beddoes' car, a small bug, was knocked off the highway Into a fence. |
