The first will attempt to thwart th-wart off a fighting Fourth ward five Thursday at 8 p. m. in an all-important all-important battle. In the event the leaders are toppled by the chaleng-ing chaleng-ing Fourth ward team, they will have to beat Mapleton Saturday in t,he cramped Mapleton gym which would be a difficult task for any team. Saturday's game starts at 7:30 p. m. . If the First should lose both games and providing Mapletom isn't upset, these two teams would battle it out for Stake Champs. Should the First win one of the two remaining games, they would enter ' the division tourney at Spanish Fork as Kolob cha, mps. Other games this week pit Second Sec-ond and Mapleton Thursday at 7:30 at Mapleton and Second and Third wards Saturday at 8 p. m. 1ast week's results In an interesting battle Thursday Thurs-day nite the Mapleton M Men defeated de-feated a rather stubborn aggregation aggrega-tion from the Fourth ward 38 to 21. The game was very close during the first half with Mapleton Maple-ton barely leading 2-3 and 10-12 at the first and second quarters. The veterans from Mapleton pulled pull-ed lose in the last quarter to gain and hold a comfortable margin as the game ended. Bennett and Nielsen for Mapleton and Mower and Rowland for the Fourth were best in the scoring department. All players played well, however. The first ward won the other game Saturday nite from a Third ward team. WANT ADS FOR SALE or TRADE G. M. C. Pickup truck. Inquire 782 East Center.
